Write the First Screen First
Open a notes app. Write one sentence: who you help, what you do, where. Then write the button: WhatsApp, call, or a short form. That pair is the homepage. Layout comes after.
If the sentence needs a slogan to make sense, the offer is not ready. Read what buyers do on a phone before they enquire if you need the argument. This guide is the writing.
Name One Offer
Home can point to three services. It cannot sell six as equals in the hero. Pick the offer that pays this year. The others sit as short links below the fold, each with its own page.
Towns and states belong in the copy when they match how people search. Do not stuff a list of districts into the first line. One clear place beats a map of Malaysia in the headline.
Put the Next Step in Reach of a Thumb
The enquire control must be visible without a hunt. Sticky WhatsApp is common in Malaysia because it is. A ghost link in the footer is not a conversion path.
The button should repeat the offer: “WhatsApp for a kitchen quote,” not “Submit.” If the tap opens a blank chat, you lost the page they came from. Prefill is in the WhatsApp guide.
Proof That Fits a Phone
One review, one project still, or a short team line beats a carousel of logos. Crop the quote. Name the work. Do not make the visitor swipe six slides before they see a person.
Awards can sit lower. Hours and the legal name can sit in Contact and the footer. Home’s job is trust in one glance, then a tap.
What to Cut
Autoplay video, full-width sliders, and a paragraph about “synergy” slow the first screen and say nothing. If a block does not help the buyer decide, move it or delete it.
When Home is done, the rest of the sitemap still has to work. Use which pages your site needs so Home is not asked to be the whole company.
